Bayview/Hunters Point

From Candlestick Park to the Hunters Point Naval Ship Yards, in the South East corner of San Francisco is the Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhoods that consist of Bayview, Crocker Amazon, Excelsior, Outer Mission, Visitacion Valley, Portola, Silver Terrace, Mission Terrace, Hunters Point, Bayview Heights, Candlestick Point and Little Hollywood.

These neighborhoods have been noted as a significant example of marginilization mostly due to industry closures, leaving residents without employment. Many city programs and local activism groups work to strengthen and improve the activities and services to serve the residents in these diverse neighborhoods.
